China denies US allegations of hacking

Beijing has rejected US allegations that a Chinese state-backed hacker group hacked the US Treasury's systems.

According to the US, the Chinese hackers have managed to access some documents that are not secret, by hacking the ministry's workstation (workstation). US officials made this claim last Monday. This incident happened in early December. The matter came to light after the finance ministry sent a letter to lawmakers informing them about the incident.

The US Treasury Department said in a letter to lawmakers that the China-based hacker group was able to hack into the department's systems using external service providers. By using this service, staff can access the Ministry's system from outside the office.
