The huge shopping malls built in different countries have become symbols of the culture of those countries. World Atlas has made a list of 10 biggest shopping malls in the world. The list was made in 2023 based on the amount of usable space inside the shopping mall.
According to the list, the top 10 shopping malls are — Iran Mall, IOI City Mall, South China Mall, Ispahan City Center, SM Mall of Asia, SM Tianjin, Golden Resources Mall, Central Plaza Westgate, Central World, Iconsium. The largest shopping mall in the world is located in the northwest of Tehran, the capital of Iran. The usable space inside this huge shopping mall is about 2 crore 10 lakh square feet. Mall of Iran is one of the major commercial, cultural and social centers of the world. In addition, the building houses economic activity areas, retail shops and cultural centers, entertainment areas, a hotel and some parking spaces. Inside the mall there are 708 retail shops spread over seven floors.
The mall also has a market system similar to the traditional markets of Shiraz, Ispahan, and Tabriz cities in Iran.
